He's getting feeling back

The last week he has started to smell his back legs more and more. We believe this is a good sign. A better sign was Monday morning 7/28/2014 he started to show some resistance in his right leg. He doesn't appear to have a lot of strength but the fact is its not completely limp and that's hope for us.

Time to start Therapy

Winston now has an appointment to start physical therapy. His first session will be on thursday 7/31/2014. We all are wishing him the best in his journey.

Please feed me....

Winston has take to being spoon fed. It started out with Winston not eating so we used a spoon to try to get him to start. Now he thinks he is so pitiful that he only wants to be fed by spoon.  He is such a snot.

YAY!!!

While enjoying some cuddle time in bed, Winston began licking his right back foot/leg! I hope this is a positive sign. I have not seen him pay any attention to his back legs since his injury. We are trying to see any positives we can. Thankfully Winston maintains a happy go lucky attitude but the rest of us are struggling a bit because we are worried and anxious about his recovery.

Winston and His New Wheels

Winston received his wheelchair today. He seems to be enjoying scooting around in and new wheels. It gives him the ability to move around easier, however he can only use it for about five minutes before it wears him out.

Winston Playtime - before his injury

We all love Winston very much.  Here is a video I took of him that shows how playful he was and how much we appreciate all of your support to help him get better.  All donations will go to his well being including paying for his medical bills and paying for medications and diapers since he doesn't have feeling and is unaware of when he has to go potty.

Nap Time

Winston getting some napping done during his outside the kennel time. He has to constanly be monitored to prevent further injury.
